This system supplies heating, to many of Pittsburgh largest and most prestigious buildings. Steam is one of the cleanest and “greenest” forms of energy available today and, when used properly, one of the safest. PACT continuously monitors and inspects its steam system to ensure public safety. We encourage you to take an active role in helping us keep our system safe. Please be alert to questionable activities happening near our facilities and equipment.

If you see steam on Pittsburgh streets,

Steam vapor is caused by water falling onto a steam pipe through a manhole cover, or a steam leak. We need to check it out. To avoid potential injury, do not walk through the steam or on the manhole cover.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1520930866047{padding-right: 150px !important;padding-left: 150px !important;}”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
